Prisoners in Israel plan hunger strike in solidarity with detainees in Jordan

AMMAN — Jordanian prisoners in Israel are planning to go on a one-day hunger strike on Tuesday to express solidarity with and call for the release of detained members of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) in Jordan, according to a JEA statement released Saturday.
During a ceremony the JEA held on Thursday, former prisoner in Israel Mazen Malasah said Arab prisoners have also expressed readiness to take part in the hunger strike, according to the statement.
