AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah on Monday stressed the need to sustain commitment and serious efforts to implement the traffic strategy, intended to find solutions to traffic-related problems, notably traffic and car accidents, stressing that everyone should feel the improvements as soon as possible.
Success begins from maintaining integration and cooperation among traffic departments, other PSD units, ministries, official institutions and municipalities to find solutions and take direct measures promptly, Maaytah said, according to a PSD statement.
During a visit to the Highway Patrol Department headquarters, Maaytah expressed the PSD's keenness to support the department's personnel to “do their part” in the strategy implementation, notably in improving their capabilities related to tackling highway emergencies.
He instructed the department to uphold the highest standards of integrity while dealing with drivers, and ensure respect for citizens and visitors, which helps maintain public order and security.
