PSUT to represent Jordan in Arab Programming Contest in Egypt

AMMAN — Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) has taken first, fourth and ninth positions in the Jordanian Collegiate Programming Contest (JCPC).
The event was held at the University of Applied Sciences, with the participation of 89 teams from public and private universities, according to a PSUT statement.
The win qualifies PSUT to represent Jordan in the Arab Programming Contest (ACPC) to be held in December in Egypt.
The top-placed team comprised students Motasem Al Kayed, Mohammed Al Kilani and Abdul Aziz Hamdan.
The team in fourth place included Laith Al Saqqa, Ahmed Hamouda and Assem Tuffaha, while Rand Abdel Fattah, Omar Al Asir and Dima Arafat came in ninth place.
All of the teams trained under the supervision of the Dean of the King Hussein School of Computing Sciences, Ashraf Ahmad, and Firas Ghanem.
PSUT’s President Mashhoor Al Refai, said that the university’s outstanding record in local, Arab and international programming competitions has become “a major success story and a milestone” in its record of achievements.
Refai added that the university, under the directives of HRH Princess Sumaya, chair of its board of trustees, is keen to actively participate in these competitions for their role in enriching the competitive spirit of students and supporting their chances of obtaining practical expertise that serves to build their future.
