Public holiday announced for Prophet Mohammad’s birthday

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence  Bisher Al Khasawneh on Thursday announced that all ministries, government departments and public institutions will observe a holiday marking Prophet Mohammad’s birthday on next Thursday, October 29, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Prophet Mohammad was born on the 12th day of Rabi I, according to the Islamic lunar calendar. The premier in an official statement released on Thursday stressed that all official institutions should contribute to highlighting the "noble" occasion.
