QAIA operator urges passengers to exercise caution

AMMAN — Queen Alia International Airport operator, the Airport International Group (AIG), said on Thursday that it has activated a snow plan in preparation for the upcoming snowstorm.
Urging passengers to exercise caution when travelling to the airport, AIG also advised them to check for schedule updates by contacting their airlines or by calling QAIA at 06-4010250.
Also Thursday, the Aqaba Airports Company, which operates the King Hussein International Airport, said it has activated its emergency plan to deal with possible severe weather.

The country will be affected on Tuesday by a very cold polar front accompanied by a depression, expected to bring snow and sub-zero temperatures, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Monday.
Airport International Group (AIG), the Jordanian company operating Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), is holding a full emergency drill at QAIA between 5pm and 9pm on Tuesday, according to an AIG statement issued Monday.
