AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania, accompanied by HRH Princess Iman, visited Al Hussein Social Foundation for Orphans on Monday, breaking the fast in the company of orphaned children and their caretakers.

Foundation director Naziha Al Shatarat also attended the iftar.

One of the largest integrated social welfare institutions in Jordan, Al Hussein Social Foundation for Orphans was founded in 1953 and today provides accommodation, food, clothing and educational services to 119 children, according to a statement from Her Majesty's office.

Hosting both orphans and victims of broken families, the foundation’s mission has been to provide underprivileged children with a home-life environment, the statement said.
