AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania met with a group of local entrepreneurs and representatives of Jordanian social enterprises on Tuesday, commending their efforts to develop, promote, and market Jordanian products.

During the meeting at Antwork, a co-working space in Jabal Amman, Her Majesty expressed her admiration for locally made Jordanian products, and applauded all those who channel their efforts into creating resourceful platforms to promote high-quality local products to a broader audience, according to a statement from Her Majesty’s office.

Attendees included a range of supporters of locally-made items, including the creators of a number of online stores, social media accounts, and online campaigns that aim to highlight exceptional local brands, and familiarise consumers with a wide pool of Jordanian products. Others offer business services to local companies, providing them with the tools to grow their businesses.

The group also included the creators of a number of Jordanian brands known for their high-quality food products, clothing, accessories, and handmade items, who are creating job opportunities for Jordanian artisans, as well as refugees.

Speaking to Queen Rania, the entrepreneurs and business owners shared their ambitions to continue opening new doors for locally-made products, thereby creating job opportunities for Jordanian talents and helping local items reach new global markets.

The group also underscored the importance of consumer trust, noting the role that the high quality of Jordanian products has played in enabling them to extend their reach on the regional and global scale.

Opened in Jordan in March 2021, Antwork has two Amman locations, each including indoor and outdoor open-plan workspaces where businesspeople and entrepreneurs can operate on a short or long-term basis. Its tech-enabled work environments are equipped with custom tools and smart services catered to the needs of local businesses. It also has locations in Cyprus and Lebanon.
