Queen meets with women of Balqawi tribes in Amman

AMMAN — Her Majesty Queen Rania visited a group of women from Balqawi tribes in Amman on Monday, gathered at the residence of Dina Al Hadid Al Qatarneh at her private invitation.
Her Majesty heard from several of the tribeswomen, who spoke of women’s fundamental role in Jordanian society and their contributions to various industries, national achievements and the country’s development, a statement from Her Majesty’s office said.
The women also expressed their gratitude for His Majesty King Abdullah and Her Majesty’s unfailing support of women in the country, according to the statement.
In turn, Her Majesty relayed His Majesty King Abdullah's regards to the group, and described Jordanian women as the beating heart of their families and communities, the statement said.
The Queen also expressed her pride in Jordanian women from all walks of life, commending their efforts in building families, careers and close-knit societies, the statement concluded.
