Regent performs Eid prayer in Aqaba

AQABA — HRH Crown Prince Hussein, the Regent, performed the Eid Al Fitr prayer on Friday at Al Haras Al Malaki Mosque in Aqaba, some 330km south of Amman.
The Crown Prince and worshippers listened to an Eid sermon delivered by Chief Islamic Justice Ahmad Hilayel, who said that the occasion rewards Muslims' good deeds and fasting during Ramadan.
Hilayel added that the feast is an opportunity to entrench solidarity among members of the community.
His Majesty King Abdullah has received cables of Eid wishes from leaders of Arab, Muslim and friendly countries.
The King and the Crown Prince received similar cables from senior officials and officers on the occasion.
