AMMAN — The Royal Film Commission (RFC) on Monday announced the launch of a short film competition titled "Quarantine Got Talent".

The competition is open to Jordanians and other Arab nationalities, the RFC said in a statement, adding that the submitted film must be related to the subject of art and the coronavirus, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The duration of the film must be no less than one minute and must not exceed five minutes, while the quality of the film should not be less than 1920 by 1080 HD. Contestants may use any type of camera or mobile phone.

The language of the film should be Arabic or English, the commission added.

The winning three films, determined by a jury, will be published on the RFC’s social media platforms, allowing the public to vote for the final winning film.

A prize of JD300 will be given to a charitable social initiative in Jordan to provide aid to those in need and those affected by the COVID-19 crisis in the winner’s name.

The deadline for submissions is on Thursday, May 21 at 12:00 midnight.
