RMS, DTRA discuss establishing biological risks training centre

AMMAN — The Royal Medical Services (RMS) and the Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) of the US Department of Defence on Tuesday discussed cooperation in the field of biological risk management, as well as enhancing international criteria for biological safety.
RMS Director General Maj. Gen. Saad Jaber met with a delegation from the DTRA over establishing a biological risks training centre in the RMS in cooperation with the DTRA, which would develop research in this field, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two parties also added that the centre would offer local and regional medical personnel internships in the field of dangerous biological materials.
