The memorandum was signed by Director-General of the Royal Botanic Garden Mohammad Shahbaz and President of the Friends of Jordan Heritage Association Tariq Bani Yassin, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The memorandum entails establishing partnerships by the Royal Botanic Garden with commissions, organisations and civil and voluntary societies to conserve plants native to Jordan.
Bani Yassin said that the memo will also allow civil society organisations to benefit from the expertise of the garden, which he described as a “Jordanian success story” in conserving plant and biodiversity.
