Royal Decree approves amendments to Social Solidarity Fund for Sharia judges, assistants

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday approving amendments to the Social Solidarity Fund for Sharia judges and judicial assistants for the year 2023. The main objective is to streamline the disbursement mechanism for Sharia judicial assistants, aligning it with the principles followed for regular judicial assistants. The adjustments also address the disbursement criteria for the fund members who are Sharia judges and judicial assistants appointed within the fund's fiscal year. Another Royal Decree has been issued to approve amendments to the Judicial Service System for Sharia Judges for 2023, along with the end-of-service bonus system for employees of the office of the Chief Justice and the Sharia Courts in Jerusalem for the year 2023. The aim is to ensure the financial rights of Sharia judges and employees upon the termination of their services, considering the unique nature and significance of their work and to avoid potential legal disputes. These amendments were published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
