Safadi denounces ‘heinous terrorist crime’ targeting Iraqi PM

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, in a phone call with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, on Sunday affirmed Jordan's condemnation of the failed terrorist assassination attempt against Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhemi, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Safadi reaffirmed the Kingdom’s supportive stance towards Iraq in the face of all challenges that target its security, stability, achievements, and the safety of its people and leadership.
The foreign minister highlighted that the security and stability of Iraq is a cornerstone for the security and stability of the region.
In a tweet that preceded the phone call, Safadi said: "We condemn in the strongest terms the attempt to assassinate Al Kadhemi and denounce it as a heinous terrorist crime and cowardly aggression against Iraq and its stability".
