Safadi, Japanese counterpart discuss efforts to halt war on Gaza

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi received a phone call from Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa on Tuesday. The two officials discussed efforts to halt the war on Gaza and its resulting humanitarian crisis. Safadi underlined the importance of a unified international stance that binds Israel to end the war and allow delivery of humanitarian assistance. Kamikawa briefed Safadi on the results of the G7 foreign ministers meeting that took place in Japan last week. The ministers agreed to continue coordinating efforts to halt the war and deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
