Safadi meets with Bahrain, Hungary, Malta FMs

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Wednesday met with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto and Maltese Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Ian Borg.
A Foreign Ministry statement released on Thursday said that the meetings focused on enhancing bilateral ties and expanding partnerships to serve common interests, as well as the latest regional and international developments, foremost of which are the Palestinian cause and efforts to resolve regional crises.
Safadi and his Hungarian counterpart signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in the field of water management.
Safadi also took part in a ministerial meeting on international and regional developments which was co-hosted by Qatar, the International Peace Institute (IPI) and the Wilson Center.
Safadi also met with United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Rola Dashti to discuss bolstering cooperation as well as existing and future projects supporting Jordan's development efforts.
