School nutrition programme extended

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday extended the implementation of the nutrition programme for public school students, signed between the Education Ministry and the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army for the spring academic semester of 2017, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The programme includes over 175,000 students and is implemented under His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to combat poverty in underprivileged areas. It provides students between the first and sixth grades, as well as kindergarten students, with nutritious meals.
