Senate ‘keen’ to support youth — Fayez

AMMAN — The Senate is committed to cooperating with the government and supporting its programmes and decisions as part of His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to serve the national interests and meet citizens’ aspirations, Senate President Faisal Fayez said on Thursday.
During a meeting with Labour Minister Nayef Steitieh, Fayez said that Senate committees are keen to continue cooperation with the relevant ministries on laws and issues concerning citizens to achieve equality in training and rehabilitation of youth, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Steitieh said that the role of the ministry is to organise the labour market as stipulated in its law and relevant regulations.
He also stressed the ministry’s keenness to cooperate with the two chambers of Parliament, civil society institutions and the private sector.
