Senate approves 3 laws referred by Lower House

AMMAN — The Senate on Thursday approved the law to develop the Baptism Site's Adjacent Lands, the Municipalities and Decentralisation Law (local administration), and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, as referred from the Lower House.
The two chambers have endorsed eight laws, out of 11 bills listed on the agenda of the extraordinary session that was launched early last month.
Three draft laws are still under discussion by the parliamentary committees, including the draft law amending the Labour Law, the draft law amending the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Law and the draft law amending the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Law, which was referred by the Senate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
