Senate committee members meet Iraq labour minister

AMMAN — The Senate's Labour and Social Development Committee members on Thursday met Iraqi Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Adel Al Rikabi over means of advancing cooperation in the fields of social affairs, employment and training.
Senator Haidar Issa Murad, head of the committee, highlighted the two sides’ efforts towards stepping up bilateral relations, notably the joint agreements meant to enhance economic partnership, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Iraqi minister commended the “deep-rooted” Amman-Baghdad ties, expressing his country’s keenness on reaching joint agreements in all fields, especially the Jordanian-Iraqi oil pipeline.
He also referred to the memoranda of understanding, signed during his visit to the Kingdom, in the fields of vocational and technical training, social security, social affairs and care for persons with disabilities.
