Senate, House panels meet EU ambassador

AMMAN — Members of the Senate’s Jordan-EU Friendship Committee on Sunday met with EU Ambassador to Amman Joanna Wronecka and discussed means to enhance bilateral relations, especially parliamentary cooperation.
In addition to discussing latest regional developments and the peace process, members of the committee briefed the ambassador on Jordan’s economic burdens resulting from hosting Syrian refugees.
Also on Sunday, the Lower House’s Jordan-EU Parliamentary Friendship Committee met with Wronecka and reviewed ways to bolster Jordanian-EU relations.
