Senate refers one draft law to Lower House, approves two

AMMAN — The Senate on Thursday referred the draft civil aviation law back to the Lower House, after making some amendments.
During the last meeting of the first parliamentary ordinary session, headed by Senate President Faisal Fayez, the Upper House endorsed the 2016 law on the rights of people with disabilities as received from the Lower House, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Senate also approved the draft law endorsing a licence for the Jordanian Electric Power Company to partially distribute and receive energy, while approving a settlement agreement between the government and the company for 2014 as referred from the Lower Chamber.
