MAFRAQ — Transport Minister Lina Shbeeb on Wednesday checked on transport facilities within the Zaatari Refugee Camp for Syrian refugees.
During a visit to the camp, the facilty’s director, Col. Abdul Rahman Omoush, said the camp currently hosts 80,000 Syrian refugees and has 12 schools attended by 17,000 students, along with five health centres.
Regarding transport issues, Shbeeb said all earlier transport service contracts for the camp will be reconsidered, stressing that bus shuttles used within the camp should be checked regularly and should be licensed.
