AMMAN — Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh on Sunday called on development zone stakeholders to intensify efforts to attract more investors. During a tour to the Dead Sea Development Zone (DSDZ), Shehadeh, who is also the chairman of the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC), stressed that the main responsibility of any developer is to establish zones and necessary facilities and services, according to a JIC statement.
The minister said that DSDZ is one of the most important development zones in the Kingdom, due to the geographical location of the sea. Director General of Jordan Free and Development Zones Group Ahmad Halaiqa commended JIC’s efforts in following up on investment projects and contacting investors on their views and possible obstacles facing them.
