Sheyyab tours Petra health facilities

AMMAN — Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab on Tuesday confirmed, during a visit to the Petra district, that the development of health services in Petra is a “top priority” for the ministry and is a part of its executive plan. Sheyyab checked on Queen Rania Hospital, Petra Health Centre and Umm Sihon Health Centre, among others, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He said that the ministry prioritises employing local people in various work sites in cooperation with the Civil Service Bureau, stressing the ministry’s keenness to provide “quality health staff”, especially specialist doctors. During the tour, Sheyyab instructed the relevant ministry departments to make sure the health centres are provided with access to key health specialties, such as internal medicine, gynaecology , and family and children care, among others, Petra added.
