AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernisation Nasser Shraideh on Saturday announced the major accomplishments achieved in 2022 under the executive programme for the Public Sector Modernisation roadmap.
The government has taken several measures to ensure the implementation of the executive programme, including the formation of a high-level ministerial committee to monitor the programme and the creation of a unit to manage and implement the programme’s initiatives, Shraideh said.
An awareness campaign was also launched to educate the public about the components and goals of the programme, he said, noting that it includes a national dialogue on the roadmap’s outputs, which was announced last July.
The Economic and Social Council held 13 working sessions in Amman and the governorates, which developed recommendations to be considered in determining the priorities of the 2023 executive programme. The recommendations are set to be released by the government soon.
The national dialogue initiated by the Economic and Social Council received positive responses with the exception of a number of initiatives, which will be subject to further study, he said.
The government reviewed the conceptual documents related to the components of the roadmap, including detailed plans for the modernisation programme, announced via www.govreform.jo, Shraideh said.
He also reviewed what was achieved in the three axes of the roadmap in the past year, namely the services axis, the institutional axis and the legislative axis.
