‘Six dead in Friday accidents across Kingdom’

AMMAN — Six people died in various accidents across the Kingdom on Friday, officials said on Saturday.
A teenager was killed while working at his father’s farm in Zarqa when a tractor overturned, an officer from the Civil Defence Department’s (CDD) media office told The Jordan Times.
A 54-year-old man died after he was run over on Zarqa’s highway, Lt. Col. Yaser Habahbeh of the Central Traffic Department told The Jordan Times.
In Maan’s Um Saifoun, near Petra, a five-year-old boy died when he fell off a pickup truck, Habahbeh added.
Meanwhile, three men suffocated while cleaning a diesel storage tank at a petrol station in Sahab, the CDD said in a statement.
In another incident, seven people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Mafraq’s Rihab road. CDD cadres took them to Mafraq Public Hospital and King Talal Military Hospital, where they were listed in fair condition, the CDD said.
In Karak’s Rubbeh, five people were injured in an accident involving two vehicles and taken to Karak Public Hospital, where their condition was listed as fair.
On Thursday, four people were injured in an accident caused by a vehicle overtaking in Baleila in Jerash.
They were listed in fair condition in Jerash Public Hospital.
Also Thursday, four family members suffered food poisoning in Abu Nseir in Amman.
They were taken to Abu Nseir healthcare centre where they were listed in fair condition.
