Social Development minister meets with UK ambassador

AMMAN — Social Development Minister Basma Ishaqat on Monday highlighted the importance of the ministry's social services and projects implemented in cooperation with foreign organisations and their branches in the Kingdom.
During a meeting with British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind, Ishaqat reviewed the social protection strategy and the government's procedures to expand the number of beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund (NAF) during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister also commended the British government's support to Jordan, the ministry and the NAF, stressing the need to further cooperation between Amman and London.
