Social Security Corporation extends Estidama programme until end of October

AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Thursday announced extending the Estidama (sustainability) programme for additional three months until the end of October 2022, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The SSC indicated that the majority of sectors that benefited from the programme at the end of last June will be eligible to benefit from the extension, according to the foundations and instructions issued by the corporation.
The SSC said that, employees at institutions benefitting from the programme receive 100 per cent of their salaries as registered by the SSC, of which 60 per cent will be paid by the employing institution, 40 per cent will be incurred by the corporation.
As part of the state budget, an amount of JD6 million was allocated to support the programme as well as a JD3 million SSC contribution.
The SSC justified extending the programme by stressing that its continuation will enable beneficiary enterprises to reach the stage of full recovery and continue their financial activities without interruption.
