AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin raised the alarm as the COVID-19 test positivity rates reached 4.44 per cent.
Dudin, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the sharp increase in the percentage of tests returning a positive result, known as the positive rate, is alarming, stressing that the recent negative developments in the epidemiological situation require increasing turnout for vaccination and higher commitment to precautionary measures.
Highlighting the prime minister’s instructions to strengthen control over the implementation of defence Order No.32 for 2021 aimed to regulate the work of employees who have not received the COVID vaccine in the public and private sectors, Dudin said that the related oversight bodies will intensify their inspections in the upcoming days, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
