Suspected drug dealer nabbed in southern Badia raid

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel on Thursday arrested a suspected drug dealer and seized large quantities of narcotics and firearms during a special operation in the southern Badia region. The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said that AND agents have continued their special operations to crack down on drug trading, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the operation, the suspected dealer was arrested and found in possession of large quantities of narcotic pills and two automatic firearms, the spokesperson noted. An AND investigative team followed up on a tipoff indicating that the alleged dealer had stored a large cache of narcotic pills inside his house, the official noted, adding that the search of the residence yielded 600,000 narcotic pills, in addition to two automatic firearms.
