‘Suspects arrested in Karak shop robbery’

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested suspects in the robbery of a shop in Karak Governorate, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Karak police received a report from a shop owner that JD16,000 had been stolen from his shop and the locks on the door had been removed.
The investigation led to a suspect who had been reportedly involved in similar thefts. The suspect was arrested and confessed to committing the robbery with the help of two accomplices who were also arrested. The suspects helped locate the money, which they had buried, and the investigation is ongoing, the PSD said.
