By Petra - Aug 03,2014 - Last updated at Aug 03,2014

TAFILEH — Around 200 workers at the Tafileh Technical University on Sunday held a sit-in protesting unfulfilled demands.

Protesters called for disbursing a JD50 allowance which was granted to fellow military retirees and expanding health insurance coverage.

The employees gathered in front of the university presidency building to demand more financial benefits.

University President Ishteiwi Abbadi met with protesters and listened to their demands, stressing that all will be discussed to meet any achievable ones in line with university regulations.
