‘Teachers may be designated as imams in remote areas’

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood on Monday said the ministry may task teachers with undertaking the responsibilities of imams at mosques, especially in remote areas.
The minister made the remark during a meeting with President of the Jordan Teachers Association (JTA), Hassan Masheh.
Discussions focused on the responsibilities that imams and teachers share to instil proper moral values among students.
