AMMAN — Unstable weather conditions will affect the Kingdom from Wednesday, with thunder and heavy rain expected, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Tuesday.
Unstable weather will continue until Friday, JMD forecaster Ibrahim Sueidat told The Jordan Times, noting that the weather during the day will be cloudy and warm, turning relatively cold at night.
The unstable weather, which is caused by an expansion of the Red Sea trough, will begin at noon on Wednesday, when it will be partly cloudy across the country, Sueidat said, adding that it will be cloudy in the southern and eastern regions, with rain and thunder forecast.
Temperatures will be 28ºC during the day, dropping to 16ºC at night in Amman, while winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly moderate, turning northwesterly moderate to brisk at night and raising dust.
“The impact of the unstable weather will deepen on Thursday, becoming more visible in the central and northern regions. The weather will be cloudy, with heavy rain and thunder at times forecast in the southern and eastern parts of the country,” Sueidat said.
“By Thursday evening, the central and northern region will start witnessing rain and thunder,” the meteorologist said.
