Trade minister, Hungary’s ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Al Shamali on Monday met with Hungary’s Ambassador to Jordan Attila Kali and discussed ways to bolster economic and trade cooperation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Shamali affirmed Jordan's keenness to enhance Jordanian-Hungarian relations in various fields, increase the volume of trade between the countries and attract foreign investments.

Jordan's exports to Hungary last year amounted to $1.37 million, recording an increase of 180.2 per cent, while Hungarian imports amounted to $39.2 million, recording an increase of 30.4 per cent compared with 2019. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Sizjjarto is scheduled to visit Jordan Wednesday, Petra reported.
