AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Musa Maaytah on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) to foster women and youth participation in political life. KAS is a non-profit political foundation established by Germany’s centre-right Christian Democratic Union, headed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The MoU was signed by Maaytah and the resident representative of KAS in Jordan, Annette Ranko, according to a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Khawaldeh also attended the signing protocol. The MoU aims to enhance the political dialogue between the government and non-governmental organisations and support them to participate in decision-making and accountability.
