AMMAN — The executive committee responsible for the Kingdom’s celebrations of the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt and Arab Renaissance on Thursday announced some traffic closures for the main event.
The ceremony will take place at the King Hussein Park on June 3 between 10am and 8:30pm. The committee said the King Abdullah II Street (previously the King Hussein Medical Centre Street) will be closed from midnight of June 2 until the end of celebrations in the next evening, with the Central Traffic Department providing alternative roads, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The celebration area to be closed extends from Al Shaab Circle, near the King Hussein Business Park, to Khalda Circle. The King Hussein Park is closed to visitors from Thursday (May 26) until next Thursday for preparations, the committee noted.
