Training held for human rights reporting skills, UPR mechanisms

AMMAN – The Prime Ministry's Human Rights Department, in cooperation with the Wai Training Centre for Human Rights, organised a training course on Sunday focused on journalistic reporting skills for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism in the field of human rights.
The course also included a consultative meeting with a diverse group of journalists and media experts representing various visual, audio, written and digital media platforms, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Director of the Prime Ministry's Human Rights Department Khalil Abdallat said that the role of media and civil society institutions is crucial in developing the human rights system at the local, regional and international levels.
He also referred to the role of journalists in the UPR of human rights through analysing the situation with the aid of media tools, praising journalists' efforts in the third UPR report.
