Two people die after falling in manhole

AMMAN — Two people, 33 and 14, died on Wednesday after drowning in a five-metre deep manhole in the capital’s Khribet Al Souq neighbourhood, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD).
CDD divers retrieved the bodies and transferred them to Totanji and Hanan hospitals, according to a CDD statement. Also on Wednesday, five people were injured after their house collapsed in Deir Alla.
Princess Iman Hospital Director Ahmad Hawarat said that the injured had left the hospital after receiving treatment; except a girl who was in moderate condition, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
