Two people die in truck collision south of Aqaba

AMMAN — Two people died on Monday as a result of severe injuries they sustained following a collision between two freight vehicles — a trailer truck and a dump truck — on a back road south of Aqaba.
According to an Aqaba Civil Defence Department report, paramedics transferred the two persons to Prince Hashem Bin Abdullah Military Hospital, but they were pronounced dead on arrival, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Highway Patrol Department personnel took charge of organising the movement of vehicles at the site of the collision and identifying the circumstances and causes of the accident.
