AMMAN — The Jordan Standards and Metrology Organisation’s (JSMO) director, Rula Madanat, on Thursday announced the shutdown of two petrol stations due to the presence of water in their tanks caused by recent rainfall.

The faulty petrol managed to damage a few cars, according to a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra. However, Madanat stressed that 90-Octane and 95-Octane gasoline at petrol stations across the Kingdom are safe for use and water-free.

Madanat said that JSMO investigation teams had intensified their efforts, especially during the recent rainfall and depression, to ensure the safety of petrol products.
