UJ, AECID sign MoU on academic cooperation

AMMAN — The University of Jordan (UJ) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding to develop institutional academic cooperation between the two sides and support efforts to boost the Spanish language studies at the UJ.
Under the memo, signed by UJ President Nathir Obeidat and Spanish Ambassador to Jordan Aranzazu Banon Davalos, the European Languages Department/Spanish Section will be provided with a specialised lecturer as of the 2022/2023 academic year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Obeidat said that the university seeks to enrich the teaching of foreign languages through providing specialised lecturers.
Davalos stressed the importance of continuing cooperation with the UJ and providing it with lecturers in the Spanish language and other fields.
