ZARQA — A delegation of the UK’s House of Commons visited Hiteen camp on Thursday to become better acquainted with camp conditions and the problems it is facing.

The delegates visited Marka Preparatory School and were briefed by its principal, Rula Saleh, on its religious, health and cultural  programmes, in cooperation with the local community.

The visiting delegation toured the camp and visited some of the houses of poor families who urged the delegates to continue supporting UNRWA so as to be able to sustain its services to Palestinian refugees.

Earlier, the delegates visited the Zaatari Refugee Camp for Syrian refugees and were briefed on its situation and needs.
