AMMAN — The Jordan Anti-Corruption Commission’s (JIACC) prosecutor general on Wednesday decided to apprehend three Yarmouk University employees at the Jwaideh Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre for 15 days, pending an investigation for suspicion of embezzlement and misuse of job.
The suspects were accused of tampering with fuel quantities delivered to the university’s fuel station, where the value of tampered fuel is estimated at JD350,000, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The JIACC council referred the case to the prosecutor general’s office some four months ago, according to Petra.
