‘University scholarships, loans to be announced in February’

AMMAN — The preliminary list of university scholarships and loans will be announced at the beginning of February, Wael Smadi, director of the Higher Education Ministry’s scholarships and agreements department, said Sunday.

Smadi added that specialised committees are currently reviewing all applications that cultural advisers at public universities electronically sent to the department.

He noted that the department received 44,449 applications, 39,427 of which included all the necessary documents for bachelor’s and diploma degrees for the current academic year.
