AMMAN — US Chargé d’Affaires Henry Wooster said on Thursday that his country’s commitment to support Jordan is “firm”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He added that, as US President Donald Trump said during a meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah in April, “Jordan has been, and still is, a valuable partner, supporter of civilsed values, and a source of stability and hope”.
The remarks came during a speech Wooster delivered at the reception ceremony held at the US embassy on the occasion of the US’ 241st independence day. Wooster reiterated that the friendship between the US and Jordan and their peoples is stronger than ever before, thanks to the King’s efforts, noting the Trump said “God has granted America a friend that is serious, caring and determined, like Jordan”.
