‘Water situation in northern governorate has improved significantly’

AMMAN — Yarmouk Water Company (YWC) Director Hassan Hazaimeh on Wednesday said that the water situation in the northern governorates has “significantly improved”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hazaimeh said that YWC in cooperation with Ministry of Water and Irrigation has worked on putting in place and utilising new water resources since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, which coincided with “unprecedented” rise in temperature.
The YWC director highlighted the company’s efforts in increasing the water supply to the main carriers in addition to operating water carriers of new resources in the various districts of the four main northern governorates Jerash, Ajloun, Irbid and Mafraq.
