Water theft cases uncovered in Karak's Al Qaser

AMMAN — The Water Ministry/Water Authority on Saturday said that it had carried out a security campaign in coordination with the Public Security Directorate to remove illegal fixtures to siphon off water from a main pipeline that provides Al Karak's Al Qaser area with drinking water.
The ministry, in a statement on Saturday, said that the incident involved illegal pumping of 50 cubic metres of water for irrigation, filling pools and filling water tankers.
The ministry added that all illegal fixtures were dismantled as part of its efforts to control all water resources across the Kingdom.
