World Bank grant to improve education services

AMMAN — The Planning and International Cooperation Ministry and the World Bank signed a $587,000 grant agreement to implement a project to improve education services.
The Education Ministry will carry out the project by establishing an education quality and accountability unit as well as improving the governance of the education sector.
Planning and International Cooperation Minister Imad Fakhoury signed the grant agreement with Ferid Belhaj, World Bank director for the Middle East.
The grant is financed by a multi-donor trust fund, which includes Danida, UKAID, Finland, Norway and the World Bank.
